Ocean Park

Customer Profile:

Ocean Park, Hong Kong is a marine mammal park, oceanarium, animal theme park, and amusement park situated in Hong Kong. Covering 91.5 hectares (226 acres), the park is separated by a large mountain into two areas, The Summit (Headland) and The Waterfront (Lowland) theme park has various attractions and rides, including four roller coasters, and animal exhibits with different themes, such as a giant panda habitat, rainforest, and polar displays, as well as an aquarium featuring the world’s largest aquarium dome. The park served 6 million visitors in the financial year 2018.

Challenge:

  • As the requirement from the government and insurance companies that all amusement facilities must be operated under video surveillance recording, the Park’s legacy CCTV system is failing to meet the needs of the Park’s business expansion plan.

Customer Profile:

NCS is a leading information and communications technology (ICT) and communications engineering services provider across the Asia-Pacific Middle East regions. It is headquartered in Singapore and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Singtel Group. NCS is Singapore’s largest system integrator with SGD 1.5 billion in annual revenue.

Challenge:

  • To set up NCS Hub itself as a showcase of the latest video and surveillance technology that is offered in the market today. They have choo Milestone as a preferred VMS vendor to use in this setup. NCS is to set up approximately 200 x Full HD cameras installed live around NCS Hu videos captured shall not have any drop frames. The video captured will be used for analysis by NCS internal software. Features such as h counting, facial recognition gate entry, and car number plate recognition will be displayed in this showcase.EMC Isilon and DDN are also se as their trial partners.
